Ray Ginley plans to give those unfortunate souls off junk food for lent an early dose of ‘Sugar’ when he fights Jody Meikle on Easter Saturday.
Sweet science specialist ‘Sugar Ray’,18 makes only his second paid appearance in Grove Leisure Centre, Newark, Nottinghamshire and is planning to follow up his impressive knock out debut with an equally fan pleasing performance on April 7.
The youngest jewel in the Emerald Promotions crown is delighted to be out for the second time in a year and is confident he can halt Meikle’s mini renaissance.
“It feels great being out so soon, that is what I need a lot of fights. The more I fight, the more I learn and the better I become. Every time I enter the ring I want to perform, I’ve really been putting it in, in the gym and I plan on being at my very best on April 7th[email protected] Ginley told www.irish-boxing.com.
“I’m fighting a fighter called Jody Meikle. He’s won two of his last 3 so I know he will want to get the win after tasting victory recently. Unfortunately for him that is not going to be the case. I think my opponent campaigns at light heavy but this will be my last fight around the light heavy weight division.”
