Women’s Open Elite Championships – ENTRY LIST

A provisional entry list has been released by the IABA for the upcoming Women’s Elite Open.

The second major domestic tournament for Senior women this year, the competition over the next two weekends will help decide the team for the World Championships in India this November.

So far just 13 fighters across the ten weights have confirmed their entry – including four of the Elite champions from February.

There have been some interesting moves among the entrants – with Youth Olympic silver medallist Ciara Ginty moving down to light welter and European U22 gold medallist Amy Broadhurst moving up to the same weight.

Big names that have not (yet) entered include Kelly Harrington, Michaela Walsh, Grainne Walsh, Christina Desmond, Carly McNaul, Aoife Burke, Ceire Smith, Joanne Lambe

Boxing begins at 7pm Friday evening.
