Wins for Murphy and Bates Down Under

 

Two of the three prominent Irish fighters on the up Down Under maintained their unbeaten status’ in the Mansfield Tavern, Mansfield, Queensland, Australia today.

Light welterweight Paddy Murphy took the short route to victory stopping fellow novice Rober Clarke after just 1:52 of the first round.

The Queensland Sate champion  extends his record to  four fights without defeat.

Clondalkin light welterweight Tony ‘Irish Physco’ Bates also made it four fights without defeat as he broke Jake Moulden’s duck egg on the same card.

The former St Matthews amateur out pointed his Ozzie foe 40-35 on all three judges score cards.
