30 May 2010 – By Cormac Campbell

Irish boxers Henry Coyle and Kieran Maher both recorded victories on Saturday night in America and England respectively.

Boxing for the first time in a year, Western Warrior Coyle shook off any lingering ring rust with a second round dispatch of Marcus Luck in Indiana’s Horseshoe Casino. Luck hit the canvas in the first round and was counted out at the start of the second.

The victory will end a frustrating period for light-middleweight Coyle, now 11-2 (10KO, and the Chigago based Mayo native can now look forward to getting back on the title trail.

In the Castle Leisure Centre, Bury, 19-year-old welterweight Kieran Maher scored his second consecutive stoppage victory as he scored a TKO4 of Aaron Fox to improve his ledger to 6-0 (2KO).
