September is progressing and the activity levels are ramping up as the boxing scene gets into gear.

On Thursday night in Scotland Marco McCullough [14(9)-3(2)] makes his MGM debut in Scotland. The Belfast featherweight makes his return to the ring at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow following his Commonwealth title stoppage loss to Isaac Lowe on the Frampton-Quigg undercard.

Staying in Scotland on Friday night, Ulster journeymen Casey Blair [3(0)-12(3)], Alec Bazza [0-17(3)-1], and Jamesy Gorman [8(3)-25(2)-1] are all in action at the Hillcroft Hotel in Whitburn. They take on Derek Skinner, JP McGuiness, and Jason Easton respectively.

At the Sir David English Sports Centre in Bournemouth, middleweight Tommy Carter [1(0)-1(0)] goes on the road and looks to start a winning streak when he takes on MH Legg.

Across the Atlantic there is major Irish action at the Dropkick Murphys’s ‘Irish Festival’ at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford. Headlining the bill is the return of Cork middleweight Spike O’Sullivan [22(15)-2(1)] who jumps in against two-time WBA interim title challenger Jaime Barboza.

Also featuring on the East Coast are World title-chasing super bantamweight TJ Doheny [15(11)-0] and Dublin light heavyweight Steve Collins Jr [8(3)-0-1], both of whom will face to-be-confirmed opposition.
