We have a title fight! Watch Tommy McCarthy and Bilal Laggoune weigh in and head to head

We have a European title fight.

Both Tommy McCarthy [16(8)-2(1)] and Bilal Laggoune [25(14)-1(1)-2] made weight ahead of their vacant EBU European cruiserweight title fight.

The Belgian came in half a pound under the 14st 4lbs limit weighing in at 14st 3.5lbs, while Belfast’s McCarthy although looking a lot less fleshy tipped the scales at the exact same weight.

McCarthy also looked the bigger man during the socially distanced head to head.

Victory for McCarthy on the Usyk Chisora PPV undercard will see him become Ireland’s 15th European champion.

‘The Mack Attack’ will join the likes of Bernard Dunne, Carl Frampton, Paul McCloskey, Willie Casey and stablemate James Tennyson as recent EBU blue belt winners.
