Waterford welterweights secure new fight dates

 

Waterford’s top welterweights have confirmed new fight dates.

Rohan Date [9(7)-0-1] and Dylan Moran [10(5)-1(1)] both confirmed their presence on Autumn fight cards yesterday.

London based Date will be out in less than two weeks, while Moran has two fights in quick succession lined up.

Date returns to Dubai were he will trade leather on the September 13 RotundaRumble bill at the luxurious Caesars Palace.

The heavy-handed Irish title hopeful has impressed since turning professional with a stoppage win in Dubai back in 2016 and will clash with former WBC Asian champion Pardeep Kharera on the #MTKFightNight co-promoted by Ahmed A. Seddiqi’s Round 10 Boxing Club.

The 26-year-old , who has lived in Dubai for five years, was last in action at London’s York Hall in June when he blasted Jan Balog aside within just two rounds to continue his impressive surge up the rankings.

Meanwhile having recently confirmed he will look to bounce back to winning ways following his American hosted defeat to Dennis Okoth – who has scalped another prospect post that Catskills Casino win – in Mexico in three weeks time, ‘The Real Deal’ has confirmed an October date. 

The 24-year-old is the latest name added to the ‘He Who Dares’ card and will trade leather in Belfast on October 25.

Moran, who is signed to American promoters Star Boxing, will take on veteran survival specialist Naheem Chaudhry at the Devenish.
