Tommy McCarthy aims to move one step close to the British cruiserweight title tonight.
The Lenadoon fighter takes on English champion Matty Askin in a final eliminator at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on a Steve Wood-promoted bill, with a vacant title fight with Welshman Craig Kennedy up for grabs.
The Belfast big man is due in the ring at around 11:00pm (Irish time), and the fight, like all VIP Boxing shows, will be streamed live on the promoter’s official YouTube channel.
Also appearing on the card in a six rounder is McCarthy’s training and promotional stablemate Anto Cacace. The BBBoC Celtic super featherweight champion is in action against Nicaraguan Leonel Hernandez in a fight which is scheduled to take place at around 9:00pm.
