WATCH THIS SPACE – Andy Lee hints at ring return

Andy Lee may not be done just yet.

The former WBO middleweight champion of the world has fought just once in the past two years since losing his belt to Billy Joe Saunders, scoring a ticking over win against KeAndrae Leatherwood in New York on St Patrick’s Day just gone.

Having claimed a world title, Lee [35(24)-3(2)-1] has achieved what he set out to do in boxing and has spoken recently about the possibility that he may never fight again.

If he was to return, Lee stresses that it would need to be the right fight, and the Limerick southpaw has today hinted that he may be stepping into the ring once again soon.

Lee, who trained Eric Donovan for the Kildare featherweight’s most recent fight, released a short video today in conjunction with Off The Ball which teased a ring return.
