WATCH: Carl McDonald and Regan Buckley separated at heated Celtic Clash weigh-in

Regan Buckley and Carl McDonald came eyeball to eyeball this afternoon in heated circumstances at the National Stadium.

The pair were weighing in for their six round super bantamweight (122lbs) bout on the ‘Celtic Clash 3: Building Champions’ card, the chief support bout tomorrow night.

The pair have traded verbal blows over the past few weeks and almost came to physical blows today.

Jobstown’s McDonald [2(0)-0] was the first to weigh in, coming in at 120.4lbs, a career lowest and by far his best shape ever.

Seconds later Buckley [1(0)-0] tipped the scales at 120lbs and looked to have packed on some serious muscle since his pro debut in May.

Going for the staredown, McDonald ensured the pair were up-close and personal, before Buckley responded by forcing his head in as matchmaker Stephen Sharpe and Boxing Union of Ireland president Mel Christle intervened.
