WATCH: McGregor praises Conlan and reveals possible Mayweather date

Conor McGregor could make his boxing debut this coming September against fight legend Floyd Mayweather.

The two-weight UFC world champ was in New York as part of Mick Conlan’s debut entourage on Friday and claimed, as many already believe, that he is in line to face ‘Money’ this coming September.

The fight has its detractors – with most admitting it would be a massive event, but suggesting that it wouldn’t be a contest in ring.

However, the former Crumlin amateur was adamant he was going to shock the world when talking to IFL TV in Conlan’s Madison Square Garden dressing room.

F*** Floyd! Trust me, this boxing world don’t know what they’re going to see when I roll up in here,” said McGregor to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV.

“I’m unpredictable. Nobody knows what they’re in for. Everybody’s writing me off but they’re going to be in for a shock. Make no mistake about it.

“I’m ready, I look forward to it. I’m excited and prepared. We are very close to inking it but I’m not saying anymore. We’re very close, that’s it,” he added.
