WATCH: Highlights of John Joe Nevin’s comeback win

John Joe Nevin [9(4)-0] made his triumphant return to the ring last weekend and looked as though he’d never been away.

After over a year out of the ring with niggling injuries, the Mullingar super feather made his comeback in London on a Hennessy Sports YouTube pay-per-view show.

In what was his first fight under new trainer Jim McDonnell, Nevin outclassed game journeyman Lee Connelly over six rounds, taking a 60:54 win.

Highlights of the fight at the Tolworth Recreational Centre have now been released, showing Nevin looking sharp ahead of what is hopefully a massive 2018 for the London Olympic silver medalist.
