Eric Donovan was in scintillating form last weekend at the National Stadium.

In what was just his second professional contest, ‘Lilywhite Lightning’ took a step up to face rough and tough Pole Krzysztof Rogowski.

On his debut in June, Donovan was both ring-rusty and nervy, outpointing Damian Lawniczak over four. His performance on the Red Corner ‘Inception’ show last weekend was a different story.

The 31 year old flew out of the blocks, throwing insanely accurate combinations which were well into the double-digits. The Kildare man downed Rogowski thrice, leading to Mickey Vann waving off the bout in the second round.
