It was another gruelling twelve-round encounter between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz last night in Vegas – and the Belfast man would emerge defeated from the duel in Las Vegas, losing his WBA featheweight title.
While it was not as action-packed as the first encounter in New York last Summer, it was still a hugely exciting affair.
An impressive Santa Cruz would box well from the outside and, this time round, was a worthy winner.
The Mexican-American was awarded the bout on a majority decision (114:114, 15:113 x2), a result that sets up an inevitable trilogy bout.
