WATCH: Ciaran McVarnock scores KO in old-school Oldham brawl

Belfast featherweight Ciaran McVarnock claimed his third win of 2017 on Saturday night.

In what was a bout taken at short notice, the New Lodge fighter made his return from a wrist injury and his debut for Longshots Sports at the Oldham Leisure Centre.

McVarnock took on Croatian Anto Nakic in a four rounder which was anything but routine. Bunty went to war with the Balkan in the opening round before chopping him down with bodyshots to bring about a finish in the second and move to 9(3)-0-1.

An entertaining fight, the win sets McVarnock up now for a big 2018 where he will be chasing his first title.
