WATCH: Carl Frampton v Horacio Garcia (Full Fight)

Carl Frampton [24(14)-1(0)] was involved in a better fight than most had anticipated last night.

‘The Jackal’ was making his return under a new team following ten months out and topped a big BT Sport bill at the SSE Odyssey Arena.

Belfast featherweight Frampton took on tough Mexican Horacio Garcia in a non-title ten-rounder and showed some very sharp skills early on before engaging in a fire-fight with the Golden Boy boxer.

A major talking point came in the seventh, with Frampton touching the canvas and received a count – however it looked as though a slip sent the Ulsterman down, with Garcia landing a shot afterwards.

Garcia had a strong finish, however Frampton won out on the cards unanimously on scores of 98-93, 97-93, and 96-93.
