WATCH: Brilliant montage released to mark first anniversary of Katie Taylor’s debut
This day last year Katie Taylor [7(5)-0] began her pro journey.
After signing up with Matchroom Boxing, the Olympic gold medalist debuted in London with a three-round destruction of Karina Kopinska.
Since then, Viviane Obenauf, Monica Gentili, Milena Kovleva, Nina Meinke, and Jasmine Clarkson have all fallen before the Bray boxer last month dominated two-weight champion Anahi Esther Sanchez at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to win the WBA lightweight title.
To mark one year since her debut, Taylor’s team have released a brilliant montage of the champion’s last twelve months.
The promo features clips of all seven of Taylor’s wins, interspersed with footage of the Wicklow woman training all set to Macklemore’s Glorious.

Taylor is currently out in Connecticut in training camp with coach Ross Enamait.
The amateur legend is preparing for the first defence of her title, which takes place in London on Wednesday December 13th – less than seven weeks after winning the belt.
Taylor boxes American Jessica McCaskill [5(3)-1(0)] at the York Hall, becoming the first woman to headline a Sky Sports card, and the best boxing odds have the Irishwoman a massive favourite to retain her belt.
A homecoming is then mooted for Ireland in the new year in Dublin in March or April.
