Warren’s Options demands means Eubank Jr is not an option for Team Spike
GARY ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan came close to securing a dream bout with Chris Eubank Jr only for the option wanted by Frank Warren to prevent his team accepting an offer to fight on May 9.
O’Sullivan has been chasing a Eubank Jr clash for up to two years and it seemed as though he was about to swap trading verbal blows for punches in the ring as the pair agreed a purse to clash on May 9.
However, Spike’s promoters Murphy’s Boxing pulled the plug because of the demands of the Celtic Warrior Gym fighters former promoter Frank Warren.
The New York based promotion team claim Warren wanted three unacceptable options if O’Sullivan was to beat the WBA Interim champion.
@spike_osullivan @murphysboxing agreed to the purse weeks ago. Waited and waited…then were told @frankwarren_tv wanted 3 options on Spike.

We agreed with the initial @spike_osullivan vs @ChrisEubankJr fight, unfortunately the 3 fight option when SPIKE WON, wasn’t close!!
