An immediate rematch with Billy Joe Saunders doesn’t look on the cards for Andy Lee.
Saunders unbuckled the WBO middleweight title World title from around the waist of the Limerick puncher via a majority points decision in December and post fight said he was open to a rematch.
Lee hasn’t spoken too much on what is next for him, but did admit he was rematch keen, particularly after two knock downs cost him his title.
However, Saunders promoter Frank Warren claims he is in no rush to do the fight again.
“Anything can happen down the road, but there is no rush” he told IFL TV.
“Who knows will happen that is for Team Saunders to sot down and make a decision. Billy Joe is in no rush and I am certainly in no rush.”
