Waldron returns against unbeaten fighter

MICHAEL Waldron will fight for the first time since 2012 well he returns to the ring on March 14.

The Mayo man and younger brother of former Irish Champion John Waldron made his debut in August 2012 beating fellow Westerner Brandon Peake at the Royal Theatre Castlebar, but hasn’t entered the squared circle as a pro since.

However, the welterweight southpaw has finally secured a fight date and will look to go 2-0 when he takes on Ashley Hill at York Hall London.

Hill is a fellow novice and boasts a record of 2-0, with one win coming via knock out.
