Sandwiched in between two big months for boxing at home, there were plenty of Irish in action overseas throughout April with some big wins and some gallant defeats.
From this we have come up with a shortlist of six for the April edition of the Liffey Crane Hire Irish Boxer of the Month.
Voting will run until midnight Friday with results to come on Saturday morning.

The Mullingar man dropped down in weight and picked up a first career belt, kicking his pro life into gear with a knockout WBO European title win over Scot Stephen Tiffney in Dubai.
Michaela Walsh
Featherweight
The Belfast boxer further underlined her Tokyo credentials with gold at the Cologne Boxing World Cup following three good wins over international opposition.
Dennis Hogan
Light Middleweight
Regardless of the decision, the Kildare fighter put in arguably the greatest ever away performance from an Irish fighter. Facing seemingly an unsurmountable challenge, Hogan outboxed WBO champion Jaime Munguia only to be controversially denied on the cards.
Larry Fryers
Light Welterweight
The Monaghan man returned to the big stage, boxing on the Terence Crawford v Amir Khan undercard at Madison Square Garden and put on one of the fights of the night, overcoming Dakota Polley in a war.
Lee Reeves
Welterweight
The Limerick southpaw took a big step in his young career, graduating to headline status and claiming a stoppage win over Guillermo Ariel Lettieri.

Middleweight
The Derry puncher toasted his new deal with Roy Jones Jr by headlining a UFC Fight Pass card in Las Vegas and defeating Robert Burwell
