VOTE: Craig O’Brien v Jay Byrne – Vacant Irish Light Middleweight Title

A new Irish champion will be crowned tonight at the National Stadium.

It’s a Dublin derby on the Ireland’s Last Man Standing card, Northside v Southside, BUI Celtic champion v BUI Celtic champion, flair v strength, overlooked grit v underappreciated skill, Collins v Geraghty, Craig O’Brien v Jay Byrne.

Loughlinstown’s Byrne [6(2)-3(1)] steps up from welter following his stunning knockout win over Crank Whitehouse in December and is a slight underdog with the bookmakers – although is extremely confident.

Inner-city favourite O’Brien [7(0)-0] enters into his first all-Irish clash following a fantastic comeback year in 2017 where he fought and won four times against game opposition.

The bout will be shown live tonight on TG4.
