Ryan Burnett challenges for the British bantamweight title after just 11 fights on Saturday night and took to the scales on Friday.

The undefeated WBO World #14 tipped the scales at 8st 5lbs 4oz and went head to head with Jason Booth ahead of their Manchester Arena hosted clash.

The bout, Burnett’s first as a Matchroom fighter, plays out on the undercard of Anthony Crolla and Darley’s Perez World lightweight title clash, a fight Stephen Ormond will have a close eye on.

If Burnett claims the title he looks likely to fight at the venue again on February 27 on the undercard of Carl Framptons massive bout with Scott Quigg before returning to top a show in Belfast in April.
