A third date for Andy Lee’s eagerly anticipated WBO World middleweight title fight with Billy Joe Saunders was announced last weekend.

The fight, which was mandated early this year was originally set to take place in Thomond Park on September 17 before illness to Lee forced a postponement.

October 10 was the next date confirmed and Manchester revealed as the venue, however a cut suffered in sparring by challenger Billy Joe Saunders resulted in the fight being put back again.

Hopefully it’s third time lucky as the duo revealed December 19 and the Manchester Arena as the new date a venue.
