MIKE Perez returned to winning ways in style on Thursday night bouncing back from his sole career defeat with a two round demolition of Darnell Wilson.
The Cuban, who fights out of Cork, started as he meant to go on and dropped the 40 year old veteran with the very first punch of the fight, a right hook.
Perez then threatened to ring time on Ding A Ling’s night, but Wilson made it to the second round despite being reacquainted with the canvas in the first stanza.
Former heavyweight amateur stand out, Perez, who lost to Byrant Jennings last time out, wasn’t going to let Wilson see the third, however and he got the job done in round 2 to push his record to 20-1-1.
