Things are falling into place, claims Jamie Conlan. The fighter who 18 months ago cut a frustrated figure after seeing proposed bouts fall through and scheduled fights cancelled.
However, since signing with Cyclone Promotions he has claimed to WBO titles and should now contest a February World title eliminator.
The WBO ratified a World title eliminator between Conlan and Paul Butler, but it seems the Liverpool native is eyeing up an IBF title shot, meaning ‘The Mexican’ could fight another top 10 WBO ranked fighter for super flyweight WBO World title mandatory status.
