James Fryers faced off against Maxi Hughes at the Europa Hotel on Saturday night in a British super featherweight title eliminator.

Unfortunately for the Belfast boxer, he lost out to his English opponent on a split decision after ten tough rounds.

After the bout in front a a sell out crowed at the Europa, Fryers took the time to give his views on the fight to Irish-boxing.com’s Derek McKenna,

An obviously disappointed Fryers said he felt he had done enough to win the bout and was disgusted but expects to bounce back after a short break.
