VIDEO: No Holds Spars – Female Senior Champion goes to war with male coach
Most will have seen the video of Olympic Gold medalist Katie Taylor’s spar with fellow Olympian Paddy Barnes. In boxing it is not uncommon to have female and male boxers trade leather in training.
Lynn Harvey replicated the trend recently when she stepped into the ring with her coach Sean Carton.
Despite only taking up boxing after doing a Boxercise class in 2010, Lynn Harvey went on to achieve her dream last March by winning the National Elite Championships at 48kg.
After seven months out of the ring following her win, Harvey looked like she had never been away.
