Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan has this week revealed he has told Frank Warren Promotions and Team Chris Eubank JR that he is ready, willing and able to fight Chris Eubank Jr in Liverpool this coming October.
O’Sullivan had called out Eubank Jr for over a year, before the English fighter’s team got in touch to offer the Cork middleweight a clash only after he had signed to fight Anthony Fitzgerald.
That domestic grudge match has now fallen through and Spike is free to fight in October. He believes Eubank Jr is avoiding him, but was buoyed by the fact Eubank name dropped him in an interview post his last bout. However, the Cork middleweight is still sceptical and claims Eubank will be proved a ‘coward’ if he chooses a different foe for his October date,
