The topic of this video is to introduce the American fans to Frampton’s young trainer Shane McGuigan.
Leo Santa Cruz is trained by both his father and his brother, but in this piece Frampton explains how he has become a part of the McGuigan family.
The clip details their relationship and the story behind how McGuigan assumed the role of chief second for Frampton, taking over from Gerry Storey ahead of the first Kiko Martinez fight
27 year old McGuigan was a handy boxer in his youth, winning Ulster Senior and National U21 titles before finding his true passion of training, and he explained that “people are born fighters and people are born trainers. When you get that blend and that mix, you can be a pretty unbeatable combination.”
