Venue and date for Ormond’s World title eliminator confirmed

Hillsborough Leisure Centre has been confirmed as the venue for Stephen Ormond’s World title eliminator with Terry Flanagan.

“The Rock’ will travel to the Sheffield to defend his WBO European lightweight title against the undefeated southpaw on December 13.

It’s not quite the lions den, as Flanagan is from Manchester, but it is another trip abroad for the much travelled fighter. However, Ormond proved he doesn’t need home comforts to win, especially when he out pointed Derry Matthews in comprehensive fashion last December and will be confident he can repeat the feat and secure a shot at the WBO title.

Ormond and Flanagan will top the bill whilst chief support will be Sheffield’s Liam Cameron.
