Upton Brothers announce new trainers

The Upton Brothers have confirmed their new training set up.

The Belfast-raised trio recently parted company with Ricky Hatton, and Anto, Sonny, and Pauly will now be trained by Barry Smith (pictured) and Harry Andrews of the West Ham Gym in London.

The two relatively young coaches have between them trained a range of prospects in recent years including the likes of Leon Williams, Tommy Martin, Bradley Smith, and Federico Tavares, while Andrews was the mastermind behind the resurgence of British light welter champ Darren Hamilton.

The Upton Brothers have had a successful 2016 thus far with Anto winning the English light welter belt and Pauly taking the Irish light middle strap. Sonny is also in line for an English 154lbs title fight with Matchroom prospect Ben Hall.

While they currently have no dates scheduled, the MGM-managed siblings will be hoping for an Irish homecoming on November 5th on the Boxnation Belfast show at the Titanic Exhibition Centre.
