‘Up and Coming’ Dubs added to Clash of the Clann card
Dublin prospects Craig O’Brien and Sean Creagh have been added to the already eagerly anticipated Clash of the Clan card.
While more established names like Jamie Conlan, Jamie Kavanagh, Patrick Hyland, Stephen Ormond and know amateur’s Phillip Sutcliffe and Gary Sweeney will already populate the February 6 card their is also room at the national Stadium for two fighters trying to build a reputation.
‘The Iron’ O’Brien is three fights into his pro career having decided to debut in February at a couple of weeks notice. The Dubliner has certainly been a welcome addition to the small hall scene bringing a very skillful style to the table aswell as a loyal band of vocal followers.
The 25 year old lightweight now gets the chance to impress the TV cameras and show his atmosphere generating capabilities on a big card as he takes the first steps on the journey from prospect to contender.
Creagh has different style to his MGM stable mate, but his seek and destroy approach is equally as fan friendly. He has a unique back story that Boxnation should pick up on having taken up boxing just to get into shape and similarly he too will be look to start the next stage of his career.
The pairs inclusion proves MGM are also open to developing Irish fighters and not just cherry picking top stars, which is also a massive positive for the sport on these shores.
With such a roster and talk of more local talent to be added the addition of solid opponents could see this card become the most eagerly anticipated Dublin show in a long time.
