U.S. disappointment for Luke Keeler

Luke Keeler [10(5)-2(1)] has unfortunately found himself off the upcoming Murphy’s Boxing card in Plymouth, Massachuestes later this month.

The Ballyfermot middleweight was due to box for the first time since his second loss to Tom Doran on the July 30th show at the Memorial Hall.

However the stacked card, which also forced Celtic Warriors gym mate Spike O’Sullivan off the show, has struck again and denied ‘Cool Hand’ a trip across the Atlantic.

Keeler, who has been ordered to face Darren Cruise for the Irish title, will look to have a more active Autumn and Winter through either the upcoming National Stadium shows or on Matchroom undercards.

Irish interest remains on the upcoming Murphy’s show through Wexford heavyweight Niall Kennedy [4(2)-0]. Making his third appearance Stateside, the Gorey big man will face Willie Palms [10(5)-10(4)-1]. Also appearing will be the Athlone-born U.S-based welterweight Paddy Irwin [1(1)-0]
