Peter McDonagh and Tyrone McKenna secure big Scotland fights
Tyrone McKenna and Peter McDonagh have both secured fights on a big BoxNation bill in Scotland next month.
It has been confirmed that the Belfast light welter and the Galway light middleweight will both fight at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Friday November 30th, live on BoxNation.
‘The Mighty Celt’ McKenna [15(6)-1(0)-1] will make his return to the ring following his thrilling defeat to world title-chaser Jack Catterall in Belfast back in June. The Lenadoon southpaw will face a man who also lost that night on the Mick Conlan Homecoming undercard, Scot Lewis Benson [10(2)-1(0)].
‘Kid Caramel’ was narrowly outpointed by Prizefighter winner Johnny Coyle at the SSE Odyssey Arena and is also searching for a return to winning ways against his managerial stablemate.
‘The Cinderella Man’ McDonagh [28(3)-28(2)-2] was held to a dubious draw last time out to Hungarian Peter Kramer on the Hughie Fury v Sam Sexton British heavyweight title undercard back in May. This fight was his first since serving a six-month BBBoC ban for his behaviour before his major win over Shayne Singleton last year..
The three-weight Irish champion returns against unbeaten Scottish southpaw Kieran Smith [11(5\)-0] in a bout which will have the WBC International Silver rankings title on the line.
The card next month is headlined by a British bantamweight title fight between Ukashir Farooq and Iain Butcher.
