Two title holding Jay-Z fighter says Spike is an option for Paddy’s Day
WBA International and WBC Silver middleweight champion Tureano Johnson believes he will put his titles on the line against Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan in New York on St Patrick’s Day.
The Cork middleweight had confirmed he was USA bound for his next fight and the foreseeable future after he teamed up with Ken Casey, who has links to both Roc Nation and Golden Boy. ‘Spike’ also said they were considering a number of offers, one being a possible title fight in New York on a March 17 NBC broadcast show.
In that Paddy’s Day fight, if ‘Spike’ accepts it, it will be a top of the bill title fight with Tureano. The Bahamas middleweight tweeted the following today:
Looks like @RocNation back at MSG Theater in March on Fox with @Tureano1984 & Irelands @spike_osullivan poss opp for a St. Patricks twist.”

Tureano, who like ‘Spike’ is 30, has an identical record to the Cork middleweight winning 18 and losing one. His sole reverse comes against former World title challenger Curtis Stevens, but his victories have come against relative unknowns and O’Sullivan would be confident of defeating the American based puncher.
