TV Viewing Figures for Carl Frampton v Chris Avalos

CARL Frampton’s pulling power is something that can’t be questioned.

Belfast comes to a standstill anytime he fights, he sells out Arena’s and purpose built stadia, indeed he has more people at his press conference than some do at fights.

Irish fight fans this week like program producers where keenly awaiting the weekend ratings figures, eager  to see  if the ‘The Jackal’ mania had the ability to spread across the water and to the casual fan.

Well the results are in and both ITV, Cyclone Promotions and fight fans will be pleased to hear Frampton v Avalos held a peak audience on ITV of 1.9 million viewers and 457,000 viewers on UTV.

More impressive than exceptional, but considering it was the first time Frampton had fought on ITV it bodes well for the future.
