Turner reignites feud with ‘American Bum’ Jason Gavern
Sean ‘Big Sexy’ Turner has offered to put his purse on the line in a proposed bout with Jason Gavern.
The Dublin and American heavyweight’s have been trading Twitter swipes for nigh-on 18 months now and just when it looked like it had all gone quiet on the ‘Big Sexy’ and ‘The Sensation’ front, Turner has called out the 52 fight veteran again.
Speaking to IFL TV as he prepares for a September fight date in Marbella, the MGM big man said.
“Gavern we want you, you bum, you American waste of space. I am going to destroy him. If he sends me a contract to go to America I would go to America. If he wants to come here I will fight him for both purses. Let’s do it.”
Gavern has stated his desire to fight Turner and even promised to put in a full fight camp so he can beat a fighter he labelled ‘fat boy’. However, the clash has yet to materialise.
Turner suggests his management are worried the 39 year old will just come for the pay cheque and fall over.
However, considering the difficult year the undefeated former National Senior Champion has had in terms of fights putting Gavern, a fighter who has shared the ring with current World champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, on his record would raise his profile and make up for some lost time.
