Triple KO success for Irish in Oz on Saturday
THE Irish FBI fighters took down Saturday night foes in dramatic and quick fashion at the Fox Studios on Saturday night.
Jake Hanney, Tj Doheny and Gearoid Clancy all registered stoppage wins to increase their unbeaten records.
Hanney took a significant career stride forward by claiming the WBA Pan Asian welterweight title  with a fourth round stoppage of John Ford.
Hanney had the tough Thai down three times in the fourth stanza and as a result the referee had no option but to call a halt to proceedings.
Not only does the win see Hanney buckle the WBA Pan Asian title around his waist it also puts him next in line for the WBA PABA title, which comes with a top 15 World ranking.
Doheny, who is already World ranked after claiming the super bantamweight WBA PABA title, also recorded stoppage victory on the card.
The fighter, who holds an amateur win over World champion Carl Frampton and recently turned down a late notice offer to fight Scott Quigg, beat his opponent into submission.
The Loais fighter’s foe couldn’t get off his stool for the fourth round in the non title fight.
Clancy extended his record to 2-0 with a first round stoppage.
