Tommy McCarthy v Matty Askin Postponed

Tommy McCarthy‘s British title final eliminator with Matty Askin has been postponed due to a minor shoulder injury sustained by the Belfast cruiser.

The two were due to face off on the Boxnation-screened VIP Promotions show in Bolton on October 22nd for the right to face Welshman Craig Kennedy for the belt recently vacated by Ovill McKenzie.

However, McCarthy’s injury has seen the bout pushed back a month to Saturday November 19th at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on another VIP Promotions show.

Askin confirmed the bad news on social media this evening.
