This is going to be historic says Hearn. Irish fight fans to make it an unforgettable night?
As Frampton versus Quigg approaches it just seems to be getting bigger and bigger.
It’s gone from mouth-watering to epic to potentially HISTORIC.
Speaking on Sky this week, Matchroom boss and Scott Quigg promoter Eddie Hearn suggested the IBF and WBA super bantamweight World title fight could go down in history.
Hearn, who has also recently said the February 27th bout could be bigger than Froch versus Groves II, believes the atmosphere generated on the night will play a major part in the the creating of the aforementioned history.
That could be taken as a back handed compliment to ‘The Jackal Army’ and Irish fight fans considering Frampton fans are expected to out number Quigg fans on the night.
“There is massive respect as fighters – and why not? They are two of the very best fighters in the world, certainly in their division.
“They are both world champions and are coming together to create a fight that I believe is going to go down in history. Not just because of the fight but because of the atmosphere at the Manchester Arena.”
