Third Belfast boxer added to November 7th Dublin MGM show

The MGM-promoted ‘Second Coming’ show at Dublin’s National Stadium on November 7th will have a distinctly Northern feel with the addition of a third Belfast boxer to the card. Lightweight Joe Fitzpatrick [2(2)-0] will join super featherweight Ciaran McVarnock and headlining super flyweight Jamie Conlan on the Boxnation-televised show.

The Commonwealth Games silver medalist will aim for his third win and third knockout on his television debut. ‘The Dragon’ is managed by Mark Dunlop and recently signed a promotional deal with Frank Warren.

Fitzpatrick also fights on October 17th at the Dunlop-promoted ‘Champions at the Europa’ show in Belfast’s Europa Hotel.

The Divis youngster, 20, has a large fan base and there are sure to be many coming down to Dublin to cheer on the skillful southpaw.

Upon the announcement of his undercard appearance, an excited Joe Fitzpatrick exclaimed that “I’m ready to get busy!”

“I want this, Team Dragon can make it happen!”
