‘The Pride of Dublin’ added to Clash of the Clans
Anthony Fitzgerald returns to the ring at the National Stadium on February 6th.
The straight-talking well-supported former Irish champion will fight a yet to be named opponent on the Clash of the Clans show.
Fitzgerald comes into the clash on the back of a disappointing six round points reverse to journeyman Adam Jones and will be determined to return to winning ways.
The value for money Dubliner has shown bouncebackability over the years and will need to exhibit it in abundance on the Boxnation card if he is to secure another big clash.
An MGM statement released today confirmed the news:
Clash of the Clans – Anthony Fitzgerald added to the bill. MGM Promotions are pleased to announce that Anthony Fitzgerald will also be taking to the ring on Saturday 6th February in Dublin.
Fitzgerald will be back fighting for the first time since September and will be looking to set 2016 off to a positive start. “ I´m looking forward to it,” he said “I also enjoy fighting at the National Stadium in front of a home crowd. It should be another good night for Irish boxing.”
