‘The Irish Canelo’ victorious on Amir Khan undercard

NOEL ‘The Irish Canelo’ Murphy claimed a second win as a pro at the Barclay’s Centre in America last night.

The welterweight defeated Michael Black to push his record to 2-0 on the undercard of Amir Khan’s win over Chris Algieri.

The Cork southpaw impressed from the off and seemed to land with regular ease and put his foe down in the third with a body shot on the fight down the big card.

Black rose to his feet but made a longer visit to the canvas in the fourth and final round winning the fight via stoppage after 2:04 of the final stanza.
