Terminator ‘I am Back’: Magee makes sensational ring return
The Terminator is back. Irish boxing legend Eamonn Magee will make a sensational return to boxing action on BDR Promotion’s Homecoming show on October 22.
Mixing burlesque and boxing is not the only jaw dropping development on Maria Ni Shiuilleabhain’s fledgling promotion, as she also managed to lure the first man to floor Ricky Hatton out of retirement.
Irish boxing’s hardest man, who worked in Paul McCloskey’s corner as he defeated Breidis Prescott last Saturday, will fight in a four rounder next month, but Ni Shuilleabhain claims it is not a once off fight.
The former  Commonwealth Light Welterweight Title and WBU Welterweight Title holder, who last fought in May 2007, will headline the card and will have John Breen in his corner for his comeback fight.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror Ni Shuilleabhain couldn’t contain her delight.
“Eamonn Magee will headline what promises to be an exceptional show on October 22. I am over the moon to have Eamonn involved on the bill. He is a legend of Irish boxing. He will face Irish or British opposition and will be tested. This really adds to what is already a strong Irish orientated card.”
Considering he is 40 years of age and has enjoyed a four year lay off questions about the World Amateur Youth Bronze medalists fitness and ability to fight will be raised.
However, Ni Shuilleabhain is confident Magee will be fit and he is certainly always comes to fight.
“Eamonn is already in the Gym. He is in Breen’s every day surrounded by quality and working alongside John Breen. He is focused on getting back to action and he will be ready. It is a big coup for BDR Promotions and for the card itself. We are very proud to be the promotional company that gives Eamonn his comeback.”
