Team Ireland picked for University of Ulster training camp
Team Ireland are at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown for a training camp with Northern Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Scotland.
The squad arrived in Jordanstown for the ten-day training camp yesterday.
The Northern Ireland team, which includes London 2012 bronze medallists Michael Conlan and Paddy Barnes, are preparing for the 2014 Commonwealth Games which begins in Glasgow later this month.
Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan, bronze medallists for Ireland at London 2012, will line out for Northern Ireland at the Commonwealths Games, which begin on July 23.
One the last occasion that the EU Championships were held, in Denmark in 2009, Ireland won nine medals – three gold, three silver and three bronze – to finish on top of the medals table.
Northern Ireland claimed three gold and two silver medals to finish on top of the medals ahead of India, England, Scotland and Wales, in that order, in India in 2010.
