Taylor begins defence of her World title tomorrow- Walsh in action too
Michaela Walsh and Katie Taylor will have their first bouts at the 8th AIBA World Women’s Elite Championships in Jeju, Korea tomorrow.
The Belfast and Wicklow pair are in action in the afternoon and evening (South Korea time) sessions in Jeju.
Walsh meets Jamaica’s Sarah Joy Rae in the 15th bout of the afternoon session, which begins at 5am (Irish time).
And Taylor, who is aiming for her 5th successive lightweight title, faces Domica’s Valerian Spicer in the sesond bout in the evening session, which begins at 10am (Irish time).
Both four-rounders are last-32 bouts. Women’s Elite bouts are contested over four, two minute rounds. Please see below attachment for Tuesday’s program.
