Steve Collins Jnr draws in London as Senior makes coaching debut
STEVE Collins Jr’s winning streak came to an end in London Saturday two weeks ago, but his 0 still remains intact after a draw with Tommy Gifford.
The pro rugby player was escorted to the ring by his father and Irish-boxing legend Steve Collins, who was making his coaching debut, and started the contest brightly.
The busy and aggressive cruiserweight took the opening two rounds and even bloodied the nose of his foe in the opening stanza, but seemed to tire in the last two allowing Gifford to come back into contention and snatch a come from behind draw.
The brave Collins took injuries into the bout, indeed he fought despite the fact his father asked him to withdraw.
