THERE has been tentative social media talk of a possible World title eliminator between Paulus Moses and Stephen Ormond over the last few days.
According to the boxing rumour mill the pair will trade leather for the right to fight WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s Titanic Showdown with Kiko Martinez on September 6.
There has been no official conformation from Cyclone Promotions, Frank Warren, Team Ormond or indeed Team Moses, but it is a fight that makes sense.
Moses, a former Ricky Burns foe, is ranked No.2 in the WBO rankings and the experienced 33-2-0 fighter holds the WBO international lightweight title. While Ormond is 8 in the same rankings and holds the WBO European strap.
Frank Warren has also stated his intent to secure the Dubliner a World title shot.
