Sprott knocks Rogan out of Super 8 at quarter final stage

Michael Sprott won the battle of the former Prizefighter winners and sent Belfast favourite Martin Rogan out of the Super 8 contest in Newzeland this morning.

‘Big Rogie’ won over the crowd, but failed to win over the judges in the Prizefighter style tournament.

One judge scored the fight a draw, but two more scored it for the Reading native, as ‘Big Roggie’ exited the tournament at the first hurdle.

The judges scorecard read 29-28 29-28 29-29 in favour of former European title challenger Sprott.
